“Trying to recreate Happiness through color, for almost two
decades, would be the better definition of my art. I am proud
to think that others can enjoy, and feel at the same time,
what I am looking to transmit with my paintings”.

Felix Castellanos was born in Santiago de los Caballeros,
Dominican Republic, and since childhood, he received the
influence of his uncle Bottin, an excellent master painter.
He graduated from El Colegio de La Salle, La Universidad
Católica Madre y Maestra, and Universidad Tecnológica de
Santiago. Afterwards, he attended Acrylic Painting
workshops, in the style of Pop Art in the US.
In his hometown, he founded a company called "Navidad
Criolla", dedicated to the development and manufacture of
Christmas decorations, always claiming that national
production, with quality and color, could bring happiness to
people. This collection was distributed exclusively to one of
the finest stores nationwide, as well as other decorative
ornaments.
In 1984, Castellanos settled in Miami, Florida, and since then
has always searched to express himself through art, following
the footsteps of his Uncle Bottin, Don Gustavo Rosanía
(deceased mentor and friend from Panama), his Chilean
sister in law Consuelo Amores, his friend Germán de la
Moneda, the Cuban painter Carlos Navarro and Brazilians
Artists Brito and Morandini, among others, that have
inspired him to continue creating his "Colorful Dreams".
His work is a reflection of his life experiences, both good and
bad, always with the belief that:
"Art, through colors, brings joy to life and touches the soul”
